Student Service Grants

With MLK Day right around the corner, HOPE Fair Housing Center is excited to announce its new service event! In past years, HOPE has invited high school students to come together and participate in a service project to give back to the community. However, because we can no longer physically gather together, HOPE has decided to bring socially distant and safe service projects to students across the state. HOPE is offering service project grant funding of up to $400 to groups of students who design and implement a service project in their community. If you or someone you know is interested in participating, please see our project application.

COVID-19 Resource Page

During the past year, millions of Americans have been impacted by COVID-19. To help alleviate the financial strain that COVID-19 and the economic lockdowns have put on the community, HOPE has created a list of COVID-19 resources. The list includes different organizations in the Chicago area, specifically Cook and DuPage counties, that are offering financial, medical and emergency assistance to residents. HOPE is constantly working to update the list to provide those across our service area with support during this hard time.

HOPE's 2021 MLK Day Event

As part of our Martin Luther King Jr. service day, we will be hosting a virtual Zoom event in place of our traditional physical gathering. During this event, various high school groups will showcase their community service projects through video. HOPE will also be featuring a special keynote speaker to talk about fair housing and the legacy Dr. King has had in the housing world. If you are interested in attending, please sign up using our event page. Don't forget to keep an eye out for our official speaker announcement!

Celebrating Giving Tuesday

This year, Giving Tuesday falls on December 1st. HOPE, like many other non-profits, relies on grants and donations to help others. Because of this, we are asking our community to help us help those in need by donating. If you are interested, please consider making a donation to HOPE and keep an eye out for upcoming emails about our Giving Tuesday event!
